## What is the ADA AI Ethics by Design Framework™?
ADA is a structured method for AI initiatives that translates ethical requirements
under ISO/IEC/IEEE 24748-7000:2022 (short form: IEEE 7000), the standard for
Valuebased Engineering, into verifiable design decisions. It guides teams through
three phases — ACT, DESIGN, ALIGN — along twelve building blocks. Every decision is
documented; the result is an auditable AI Design Logbook shared by governance,
compliance and engineering.

## Who is ADA for?
ADA is built for the Chief AI Officer (CAIO), the Chief AI Ethics by Design Officer
(CAIXO), and everyone accountable for AI governance, risk and compliance in an
organisation. It serves teams that must not only deliver AI systems technically, but
justify them to boards, regulators and customers.

- DESIGN — the how: AI Ethics by Design
- ALIGN — the what: AI Governance by Design
